Three-Week-Old Baby Dies in Two-Car Accident

A three-week-old baby boy has died following a collision between two cars in Worcestershire. The accident involved a black Ford Focus and a black Suzuki Vitara on the A451, located between Kidderminster and Stourport. The crash occurred around 00:10 BST on Saturday, according to West Mercia Police.

The baby, who was in the Suzuki, died at the scene of the accident. A 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently in custody.

Two other passengers in the Suzuki, a man and a woman in their 20s, were taken to the hospital for treatment. Fortunately, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The driver of the Ford Focus was unharmed in the incident.

Police are urging witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the time of the crash to come forward.

Insp Steph Arrowsmith expressed condolences, stating, “A young baby boy has tragically died, and our thoughts are very much with the baby’s parents and wider family at this incredibly distressing time.”
