Grimes Says She ‘Became Much Less Gay’ After Being Pregnant

by Jessica

Grimes has shared that she experienced a decrease in attraction to women after giving birth to her first child with Elon Musk. The 36-year-old singer took to social media to discuss her feelings following her pregnancy.

On X, Grimes stated, “I became way less gay after I was pregnant. My ability to focus on reading and writing improved significantly, but my focus on technical tasks declined dramatically. Is this all explained by hormones?”

One fan suggested that her shift in attraction might not be due to pregnancy hormones but rather her heterosexual relationship with Musk. Grimes responded, noting that her relationship with Musk should have made her “more gay,” if anything. At the time of her pregnancy, Grimes was in a relationship with Musk. They began dating in 2018 and welcomed their first child in 2020.

The couple experienced a “semi-separation” in 2021 but maintained a fluid relationship over the years, eventually having two more children via surrogate. Their first child, named X Æ A-Xii, is currently four years old. They also have two other children together: Exa Dark Sideræl, two, and Techno Mechanicus, two.

Although Grimes has never explicitly defined her sexuality, she has previously discussed the idea of “colonizing Europa,” one of Jupiter’s moons, to create a “lesbian space commune.”

On September 29 last year, Grimes filed a lawsuit against Musk, seeking primary physical custody and joint legal custody of their children. According to multiple U.S. outlets, the singer filed a petition in California to establish a parental relationship. However, Texas courts have sealed the case, making its details unavailable to the public.
