GloRilla Sparks Debate with Baby Bump Post: ‘Trolling for Halloween’

by Jessica

Rapper GloRilla has stirred up discussions among fans following her recent Instagram post featuring her cradling a baby bump.

On October 23, the 25-year-old artist, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, shared photos of herself in an off-white jumpsuit, hands resting on her round belly. The post was made without a caption, leading many to wonder if it was a prank or an actual announcement of her pregnancy.

Fans quickly took to the comments to express their thoughts. Some questioned the authenticity of her apparent pregnancy, while others found humor in what they believed was a Halloween-themed joke. One user remarked, “She’s trolling for Halloween [season],” while another added, “Lmaooo you play tooo muchhh.” A third commenter noted, “It took me 9 months to look like that. How you get big asf literally in two days?”

While a few followers congratulated her, others pointed out that GloRilla was not pregnant during a concert on October 12. One fan claimed, “Girl, you were not pregnant last week at homecoming in Huntsville, Alabama; don’t play with me, sis lol.” Another user shared a video of GloRilla from backstage at Jennifer Hudson’s talk show, showing no sign of a baby bump. “If this wasn’t 2 weeks ago, you might’ve got me,” a second fan commented, also referencing footage of GloRilla performing on stage.

The Memphis-born artist recently released her debut studio album, Glorious, on October 11. This album features collaborations with artists like Megan Thee Stallion, Kirk Franklin, and T-Pain.

The Independent has reached out to GloRilla’s representative for a statement.

Glorious consists of 15 tracks and follows her successful hits “Tomorrow” and “F.N.F (Let’s Go),” which earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance in 2023. However, GloRilla admitted that her momentum has slowed in recent months. “Anytime I would put out a song, they weren’t really feeling it,” she told The Associated Press. “I lost a little confidence.”

Despite the setbacks, GloRilla persevered in refining her sound and direction for her first studio project. “That’s why I didn’t give up. … I took it as motivation,” she said.
