Lashana Lynch, 36, is expecting her first child! She made the exciting announcement on October 17 while walking the red carpet for the premiere of her Peacock series, The Day of the Jackal, held at the Walter Reade Theater in New York City.
Lynch was joined by her co-stars Eddie Redmayne, Ursula Corbero, and Chukwudi Iwuji. In a recent interview with Vogue, she shared that her pregnancy reveal surprised even Redmayne.
Lynch described her choice of an Ottolinger dress for the event, saying, “I wanted to keep the look really simple, poignant, and effective.” She expressed her comfort in the dress, stating, “I feel comfortable and at ease, but also in charge of myself. Some red carpet gowns feel like you’re putting on a different part of yourself, whereas here I feel like I’m celebrating the female figure.”
The Day of the Jackal is set to premiere on November 14 on Peacock. A trailer for the series is available now.
