Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have joyfully welcomed their first child, a baby girl, this Sunday. The baby was reportedly born at HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai. Hindustan Times has not yet confirmed this information independently, and an official statement from the couple is still awaited.
On the day of the birth, Deepika and Ranveer, accompanied by family members, arrived at the hospital. They were not photographed as they remained inside their curtained car. Soon after, their family members also arrived at the hospital.
The birth of their daughter follows a recent visit by the couple to Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai. On Friday, they were seen seeking blessings at the temple. A video shared by a paparazzo shows Deepika in a traditional green saree, with her baby bump visible as she walked barefoot in the temple.
Pregnancy Announcement
Deepika and Ranveer announced their pregnancy in February this year through a joint social media post. The announcement featured the words “September 2024” alongside cute motifs of baby clothes, shoes, and balloons.
They also shared images from their maternity photoshoot, where Deepika proudly displayed her baby bump with Ranveer by her side. Reports suggest that the couple may start this new chapter of their lives in a new home. It is believed that they are planning to move into a luxurious apartment in Bandra, adjacent to Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow Mannat. The new residence, which will occupy floors 16 to 19, is expected to include a private terrace.
Their Love Story
Deepika and Ranveer began their relationship in 2013 while filming “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela” but kept it private until their wedding. They married in a private ceremony at Lake Como, Italy, in 2018, surrounded by close friends and family.
Future Plans
Deepika is expected to resume work in 2025 after dedicating the next few months to her newborn. Her maternity leave is set to last until March next year. She plans to begin filming the sequel of “Kalki,” alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Prabhas. She will also appear in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming ensemble cop drama “Singham Again,” which features Ranveer Singh.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh will be seen in Aditya Dhar’s forthcoming action film and Farhan Akhtar’s much-anticipated crime drama “Don 3.”
