Aaron Judge’s home team has gained a new star player — his daughter.
The New York Yankees outfielder shared the happy news that he and his wife, Samantha Bracksieck, welcomed their first baby, a daughter named Nora Rose Judge, on January 27.
“What an incredible week it’s been,” Aaron, 32, wrote in an Instagram post on February 5, accompanied by a black-and-white photo of his newborn’s tiny feet. “Can’t wait for the memories the three of us make.”
The announcement follows a heartfelt moment last month when Aaron shared news of his upcoming fatherhood while accepting the 2024 AL MVP Award from the Baseball Writers’ Association of America. He apologized for missing the award dinner, explaining, “My wife Samantha and I are expecting our first child any day.”
Aaron and Samantha’s relationship dates back to their high school days in Linden, California. They later attended Fresno State University. Despite keeping their personal lives private, Aaron has spoken about how Samantha supports him through his baseball career. In a September 2022 interview, he said, “My wife has been with me through it all, and she’s calm as a cucumber, that’s for sure.”
Before signing a $360 million, nine-year contract with the Yankees that same year, Aaron turned to Samantha for advice. “We both kinda came to the decision that was in our hearts, which is we belong in New York, we belong in this city,” he shared during a press conference.
The couple married in December 2021 and now begins their next chapter as new parents.
