Ryan Edwards, star of Teen Mom, has announced his engagement to Amanda Conner. The 37-year-old shared the news on Instagram on Sunday, January 12, posting a heartfelt video of the proposal. Edwards popped the question to his pregnant girlfriend in front of a bonfire, surrounded by family. The touching moment was set to the song “Take Forever (Hally’s Song)” by Cooper Alan.
The proposal, filmed by a professional cameraman, took place in the snow, leading fans to speculate that it could be featured in the upcoming season of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, which airs on MTV starting January 30.
The romantic moment was also shared with Edwards’ eldest son, Bentley, 16, from his previous relationship with Maci Bookout. Edwards also has two other children, son Jagger, 6, and daughter Stella, 5, with his ex-wife MacKenzie Edwards. Fans flooded the comments section to congratulate the couple, with one writing, “This is the Ryan we all knew was still in there,” while another added, “Benny being there love the growth.” Bookout, 33, showed her support by liking the post. She had previously expressed excitement about the couple’s pregnancy, commenting, “I call dibs on babysitting ” when Edwards and Conner first shared the news of their baby on Instagram in October 2024.
At that time, Conner exclusively told PEOPLE about the pregnancy: “Ryan and I are very excited about our pregnancy. We have overcome so much in the last year and a half, and we are in a very happy, safe place. For me, I can enjoy this pregnancy, and I have a second chance at motherhood. For Ryan, he is in a place that he hasn’t been in for a long time. We are excited to move forward from our past mistakes.”
Conner also shared how they discovered the pregnancy: “We found out only due to me having morning sickness, and ironically, Ryan had morning sickness as well. We decided to take a test, and it came out to be positive.”
In November 2024, the couple revealed that they are expecting a baby girl.
