First Baby of the New Year Born at Prince of Wales Hospital

Hong Kong welcomed its first baby of 2025 on Wednesday with the birth of a boy at Prince of Wales Hospital at 12:07 am.

The Hospital Authority confirmed the baby, weighing 3.375 kilograms, is the first to be born at the hospital in the new year. Both mother and child are reported to be in good health.

At Princess Margaret Hospital, a boy was born at 12:12 am, followed by a girl at 1:17 am.

The newborns are the first children for their respective mothers.

Additionally, a baby girl was born at the Prince of Wales Hospital at 1:59 am, weighing 2.84 kilograms.’
