A new baby apparel brand, BabiSabi, has launched in Dallas, offering a curated collection of clothing it calls “baby couture.” Founded by Dallas resident Sofiya Deva, BabiSabi blends style, sustainability, and social responsibility, aiming to provide more than just baby clothes—it’s about delivering “a message of care and giving back.”
“As a godmother and aunt, I wanted to create a brand that reflects the values I hold dear—community, sustainability, and compassion,” Deva said in a statement. “Through BabiSabi, we aim to inspire parents to not only dress their little ones in beautiful, meaningful apparel but also to feel connected to a larger purpose.”
The brand draws inspiration from the Japanese philosophy of “wabi-sabi,” embracing imperfection and authenticity. BabiSabi believes every child’s uniqueness should be celebrated, and its designs reflect this ethos through modern, minimalist styles crafted from eco-friendly fabrics, ensuring a soft, safe, and stylish experience for babies and peace of mind for parents.
BabiSabi aims to go beyond just clothing—it’s a “movement.” The company has pledged to donate a portion of each sale to organizations that support families and children in underserved communities, reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility.
The brand’s clothing is made by women artisans in rural India, who use 100% natural dyes and fibers. Each piece takes an entire day to craft, and BabiSabi describes them as “functional keepsakes.”
The debut collection includes baby essentials such as caps, booties, and accessories, all in neutral tones designed for versatility. The collection is available exclusively online at BabiSabi’s website.
