Olympian Caeleb Dressel and his wife, Meghan, announced on Instagram this morning that they are expecting their second child, due in June 2025. The couple, who welcomed their first son, August, on February 17, 2024, shared the joyful news with their followers. August, who is just a few months old, has already traveled internationally to watch his father compete at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
When the new baby arrives next June, August will be just under 18 months old. Meghan humorously mentioned the age gap in her Instagram post, making light of the timing.
At the recent Paris Olympics, Caeleb Dressel competed in the 50-meter freestyle, where he finished in 6th place. However, he added three medals to his collection, including two golds in the 4×100-meter mixed medley and men’s 4×100-meter freestyle relays, and a silver in the 4×100-meter medley relay.
In addition to his Olympic success, Caeleb holds world records in several events, including the 50-meter freestyle (short course), 100-meter individual medley (short course), and the 100-meter butterfly (both short and long course).
Meghan Dressel, previously known as Meghan Haila, is also a former swimmer. She competed in breaststroke events for Florida State University during her college years.
The couple, who have been together since high school, married in February 2021.
