Erin Lichy, star of The Real Housewives of New York City, is expecting her fourth child with husband Abe. The couple, who are also co-founders of the premium mezcal brand Mezcalum, shared the news exclusively with PEOPLE.
The new baby will join the couple’s three children: Levi, 9, Elijah, 4, and Layla, 7. Erin, 37, says she’s ready for the challenge of a larger family. “It feels like adding another act to the circus!” she jokes. Despite her busy schedule, she feels the transition from three to four kids won’t be as difficult as it seems. “Work and life have been so busy that I haven’t had a chance to think about how it’ll change things, but I think it will be pretty seamless to be honest.”
When asked about what she’s most excited for, Erin laughs and says she’s looking forward to enjoying a Mezcalum cocktail and a huge sushi dinner again.
Erin describes how she found out she was expecting. “I was out East with Abe and some friends when I suddenly became really sensitive to smells. That’s when I knew—I thought, ‘Damn. Here we go again!’” During the first trimester, Erin experienced severe fatigue and nausea. “The first 10 weeks were rough,” she recalls. “I was exhausted and nauseous all the time.” But things have improved since then, and now she’s able to indulge in her cravings, which include cold drinks, Pinkberry, Greek yogurt, Italian food, and French fries.
Although Erin and Abe don’t know the baby’s gender yet, Erin says, “We’ll probably know soon!” The couple has also started brainstorming names but hasn’t decided on one yet.
Finally, Erin says it feels “really special” to share the pregnancy news with the world.
