Tammy Slaton Denies Amy Slaton Pregnancy Rumors

by Jessica

On November 4, the 1000-Lb. Sisters star shared a TikTok video in which she denied claims that her sister, Amy Slaton, is expecting a third child. Amy, 37, is already the mother of two sons—Gage Deon, 4, and Glenn Allen, 2—whom she shares with her ex-husband, Michael Halterman. The couple separated in March 2023 after Michael filed for divorce.

“I wish people would stop spreading rumors, but I’m here to tell you, Amy is not pregnant,” Tammy, 38, said in the video.

Tammy also addressed another circulating rumor, confirming that her sister-in-law Brittany, who is married to Tammy’s brother Chris, “did not pass away.” Brittany has frequently appeared on the TLC reality show alongside the Slaton sisters.

In the comments section, Tammy’s followers expressed gratitude for her clarification, with many showing appreciation for her efforts to shut down the false claims. This is not the first time Tammy has had to defend herself from online rumors and criticisms. Earlier this year, she responded to trolls who criticized her appearance, particularly her teeth. Tammy had posted a video on TikTok in January, responding to comments telling her to “fix them teeth.”

“With all due respect, I wish people like you would stop commenting crap like this. It’s not helping my confidence,” she said at the time. “I was trying to keep my confidence boosted, and seeing comments about my chin or my teeth doesn’t help.”

Tammy went on to explain that fixing her teeth is an expensive process. While she has money, she said, she doesn’t currently have the means to save up for the procedure.

“I had to calm myself down before I replied because I really wanted to go off on you. I really wanted to tell you if you had a true problem with my teeth, then pay for them yourself,” she added. “But I don’t want to be that person. I don’t want to be rude.”

Tammy concluded by emphasizing her focus on self-improvement. “I’m trying to better my life and better myself. We should be lifting up people. It doesn’t matter if I’m missing teeth,” she said. “It’s sad. Why hate? Why can’t you just appreciate the hard work I’ve put in? Why can’t you just appreciate that I’m still alive? Yes, I have flaws. I’m human… But I’m not gonna let you or anyone else ruin my day.”
