Dakota Johnson and Jennifer Lawrence were seen bonding in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 27. The actresses took a stroll together after grabbing refreshing drinks. Both wore sunglasses, and Lawrence, who announced her pregnancy with a second child on October 20, kept her new bangs covered with a camouflage baseball cap that showed support for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz’s presidential campaign.
Johnson, 35, flashed a smile while chatting with Lawrence, 34, during their outing. Johnson has been in a relationship with Coldplay singer Chris Martin since 2017. Martin, 47, and Lawrence had a brief romantic relationship between 2014 and 2015, following his split from ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow.
Lawrence and Martin ended their relationship in August 2015. A source close to Lawrence stated she grew “tired of Chris being so noncommittal” at that time.
Johnson and Martin were first linked romantically in October 2017 when they were spotted on a date. In August of this year, a representative for Johnson denied rumors of a breakup. A source explained that the couple is “very independent” and maintains separate lives outside their relationship.
“Sure, they’ve had issues and taken breaks, but things are great now,” the source said. “They both love their careers and are balancing things as best they can.”
Meanwhile, Lawrence is expecting her second child with husband Cooke Maroney, whom she married in 2019. They welcomed their son, Cy, in February 2022. A source recently told PEOPLE that Lawrence “loves being a mom” and is “thrilled to be pregnant again.”
Lawrence last appeared in the 2023 comedy No Hard Feelings, while Johnson starred in Sony’s Madame Web and co-starred with Sean Penn in the drama Daddio.
