Baby Delivered After Mother Falls to Her Death from Leeds Tower Block

A baby has been born alive after her mother, who was heavily pregnant, fell to her death from a tower block in Leeds.

The woman, in her 30s and not yet named, fell from Shakespeare Towers on Shakespeare Approach in Burmantofts around 10:25 a.m. on Tuesday.

West Yorkshire Police reported that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death, and the coroner’s office has been notified.

A police spokesperson stated, “The woman was in the late stages of pregnancy. Her baby was delivered at the hospital following the incident and is currently receiving critical care.”

Social media has seen an outpouring of tributes for the woman.

Megan Moore expressed her sorrow, saying, “Rest in peace, you beautiful lady. I can’t believe I’m actually writing this. You were always a beautiful soul inside and out. I’m thinking of your children at home and praying for your baby girl in the hospital to be okay.”
