Home and Away’s Tane Parata Gets Distressing News Following Baby Scare

by Jessica

Next week on UK screens, Tane Parata, the boss of the Summer Bay gym, faces tough news about his friend Perri Hayes. Perri’s efforts to take legal action against his abusive father, Carl, have failed.

Perri recently shared his painful past with Tane and Harper Matheson. He revealed that Carl, known for his violence, forced him to commit crimes during his childhood. Tane promised to support Perri in court as he prepared to testify against his father. However, in the upcoming scenes, Tane is unable to keep that promise.

The situation worsens when Perri receives a threatening note from Carl. The note warns him not to testify. Perri panics and thinks about skipping his court appearance. To help, Tane takes the scared teenager for a walk to calm him down. Tane reassures Perri, saying Carl can’t hurt him anymore. He emphasizes that if the hearing goes well, Perri will never have to see his father again.

On the day of the court hearing, Tane waits for Harper, but she doesn’t show up as planned. The trio intended to go to court together, but Harper has rushed to the hospital because she is experiencing bleeding. She is worried about her and Tane’s unborn baby.

At the hospital, Harper ignores Tane’s calls, wanting to avoid distracting him from Perri’s situation. However, Harper’s sister Dana believes Tane should know what is happening. She decides to call him.

When Tane finds out he needs to go to the hospital immediately, he leaves Perri to rush to Harper’s side. He arrives just in time for Harper’s ultrasound scan. They all breathe a sigh of relief when they hear the baby’s healthy heartbeat and receive reassurance that everything is okay.

Although Tane feels ecstatic after this touching moment, the happiness is short-lived. He soon receives a call from Rose Delaney, who informs him that Perri’s father has been found not guilty.

Now, after facing court alone, Perri might wonder if Tane’s absence contributed to this disappointing outcome.

Home and Away airs these scenes on Thursday, October 31, and Friday, November 1, on Channel 5.
