Jack Grealish has a new addition to his family. The British footballer, who plays for Manchester City and the England national team, announced on Instagram that he and his girlfriend, Sasha Attwood, welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Mila Rose Grealish, on Friday, September 27.
On Monday, October 7, Grealish shared a black-and-white photo on Instagram showing the tiny hand of their newborn holding one of her parents’ pinky fingers. He simply captioned the post: “Mila Rose Grealish.”
Several current and former teammates congratulated the new parents in the comments. Manchester teammate Marcus Rashford expressed his joy with a heart emoji. Declan Rice, a fellow England national teammate and Arsenal player, commented with heart and heart-eyes emojis. Alex Zinchenko, also from Arsenal, wrote, “Congrats to you both brother.” Aston Villa player Ross Barkley added, “Congrats lad.”
Sasha Attwood also shared the same photo on her Instagram account, captioning it, “27/09/24 Mila Rose Grealish 🩷. The most special moment of my life.” Her followers flooded the comments with messages of love and support. One user wrote, “Good job, mama! I’m so glad you’re both well! Sending you so much love.” Another added, “Girl mum!!!!. So, so happy for you darling. Welcome to the best chapter yet!!! Xxx.”
Jack and Sasha first met as students at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Secondary School in Solihull, England. They began dating at the age of 16, although their relationship has been on and off over the years, according to The Irish Mirror.
The couple announced their pregnancy in July, posting a sweet photo of Grealish holding Attwood’s growing baby bump. Attwood captioned the photo, “Half of me, half of you—beyond blessed.” Grealish shared the same image, writing, “Life’s biggest blessing.” After the announcement, Attwood posted several pictures of her baby bump, including maternity photos taken in late September.
