Mandy Moore is now officially a mother of three! The singer and actress recently welcomed her third child with husband Taylor Goldsmith, a daughter with a charming name.

In a joint Instagram post, the couple announced, “Lou is here! Louise Everett Goldsmith arrived happy, healthy, and just in time for Virgo season.” The post features a joyful Moore holding her newborn in the delivery room.

They expressed their excitement, stating, “She is our absolute dream girl, and her big brothers are already as obsessed with her as we are. We are endlessly grateful for our family of five and soaking in every moment of this special time.” This nods to Moore’s role as the matriarch on This Is Us, where her character also has two sons and a daughter. While the exact birth date of baby Louise was not revealed, it appears the family is now home from the hospital. Moore also shared a photo on Instagram Stories of her sons, Gus and Ozzie, eagerly waiting to meet their sister.

Comedian Chelsea Handler commented on the announcement, “Awwww that’s really beautiful.” Moore’s This Is Us co-star, Susan Kelechi Watson, added, “In. Love.”

For a heartwarming moment, fans can watch a video Moore shared of her husband teaching their sons the song “Won’t Back Down” by Tom Petty at the breakfast table.

Reflecting on her journey to motherhood, Moore shared in a January Instagram post, “I’ve always wanted to be a mom. But there was a time when I thought I might not be able to have kids.” She recalled a doctor’s visit that suggested she might have difficulty getting pregnant, only to later be surprised with her first son, Gus.

Moore quoted her character, Rebecca Pearson, saying, “It’s my job to keep standing there with my arms wide open, waiting for you to maybe someday fall inside if you needed it. And if you do, I’ll love you. And if you don’t, I’ll love you too—because that’s what it means to be a parent. You’ll see one day.” She concluded, “And to that I say, Rebecca, I see it!”
