Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh joyfully announced the arrival of their first child on September 8, 2024. The couple shared the news via their social media accounts with a post that read, “Welcome Baby Girl 8.9.2024. Deepika & Ranveer,” accompanied by a golden bow.
In response to the announcement, fans have flooded social media with name suggestions for the couple’s baby girl. Among the names proposed are Ritika, Diva, Rhea, Ridhee, Deera, Urja, and Ujjala.
One user suggested the name “Ridhee,” noting its significance: “I want them to name her ‘Ridhee.’ It combines the ‘R’ of Ranveer and the ‘D’ of Deepika and is related to Siddhivinayak Ganpati Ji, as she was born during Ganesh Chaturthi.”
Another tweet proposed “Urja,” describing it as a modern, short name connected to light.
Additionally, a tweet suggested names like “Ritika” and “Diva Rhea” as possible choices that incorporate elements from both parents’ names.
Deepika and Ranveer, who married in November 2018 at Lake Como, Italy, welcomed their baby after six years of dating. Earlier this year, they announced their pregnancy on Instagram, revealing the expected month of their child’s arrival.
On the professional front, both actors are set to appear in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming film Singham Again. The action thriller boasts a star-studded cast, including Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Tiger Shroff, Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Shweta Tiwari, Dayanand Shetty, Ashutosh Rana, Vivek Oberoi, and Deepraj Rana. The film is slated for release on Diwali 2024.
Additionally, Ranveer will feature in Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3, alongside Kiara Advani. The film is expected to hit theaters in 2025.
