She was released in July 2022 after the Parole Board deemed her suitable for release in May of that year.

A spokesperson for the Prison and Probation Service stated, “Offenders released on licence must follow strict conditions. We will recall them to prison if they break these rules.”

In her 40s now, Connelly was initially jailed in 2009 for causing or allowing the death of her 17-month-old son, Peter, at their Tottenham home on August 3, 2007. She was released on licence in 2013 but was recalled to prison in 2015 for breaching parole conditions.

Connelly will need to appear before the Parole Board again to be considered for re-release.
