Fisher-Price Recalls Baby Dumbbell Toy in Gift Sets Over Choking Risk

Fisher-Price is recalling a plastic dumbbell toy included in its Baby Biceps Gift Set due to a choking hazard. The gray caps on the ends of the toy can detach, posing a risk to infants.

Description: The toy features a gray bar with orange and red plastic weights on each side.

Recall Information:

Units Affected: Approximately 366,200 units in the U.S. and about 37,850 units in Canada.

Recall Date: August 29, 2024

Remedy: Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled toy immediately. Remove it from children’s play areas and contact Fisher-Price for a refund. To process the refund, visit Fisher-Price’s recall page to upload a photo of the toy and receive disposal instructions. Upon confirmation that the toy has been disposed of as directed, consumers will receive $10 for the toy. No proof of purchase is required. The rest of the Baby Biceps Gift Set can be kept.

Incidents/Injuries: Fisher-Price has received seven reports of the toy’s ends detaching, but no injuries have been reported.

Retail Information: The affected toy was sold at Walmart, Kohl’s, Fred Meyer, Hobby Lobby, Marshalls, TJMaxx, Buy Buy Baby, Target, and online through Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Zulily.com, Target.com, and other websites from April 2020 to August 2024 for about $18.
