Cameron Diaz and her husband, Benji Madden, made a rare public display of affection during an outing in Montecito, California, on Monday.
The 51-year-old actress and the 45-year-old Good Charlotte guitarist were spotted sharing a tender kiss as they left a restaurant with their newborn son, Cardinal, in a stroller, according to Page Six. The couple, who welcomed Cardinal earlier this year and also have a 4-year-old daughter, Raddix, enjoyed a romantic meal together before showing their love in public.
Madden was dressed in a black short-sleeve button-down shirt over a black tee, paired with gold chain necklaces and a khaki green fitted cap. Diaz wore a cozy green cardigan over a black shirt, and her hair was pulled back in a ponytail. She accessorized with wide-framed eyeglasses and carried a colorful baby toy.
The couple generally keeps their relationship private but previously shared a public kiss at a Los Angeles Lakers game in 2015. They surprised fans in March by announcing the birth of their second child, Cardinal Madden, in a joint Instagram post. “We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our Son, Cardinal Madden. He is awesome and we are all so happy he is here!” the couple wrote, adding that they would not be posting pictures of their newborn for privacy reasons.
Diaz and Madden’s first child, Raddix, was born via surrogate in January 2020. At that time, the couple described their daughter as having “instantly captured our hearts and completed our family.”
In April 2020, Diaz discussed parenting with Madden during an Instagram Live session with her friend Katherine Power. She praised Madden’s parenting skills, noting, “He’s such an amazing father. I’m so lucky he’s my baby’s father.”
Diaz and Madden were married in January 2015 at Diaz’s Beverly Hills home after dating for less than a year.
