Cardi B recently opened up about a severe accident that nearly jeopardized her pregnancy. During an X Space chat with fans on August 8, the 31-year-old rapper described the incident, which she said left her feeling “paralyzed.”
Cardi explained that she was descending the stairs when she slipped and nearly fell. She tried to catch herself by grabbing the railing, but her foot slipped, causing her to fall awkwardly. “I felt a weird jerk, like a pop, and I couldn’t get up really,” she said. Her father had to assist her in moving off the stairs.
She noted, “I felt pain in my lower stomach, and when I woke up, I couldn’t move my lower body at all. Even moving my feet hurt the bottom of my stomach. I felt like I was paralyzed.”
Cardi was rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered she had torn a ligament in her pelvis, located near where her baby’s head is positioned. She was kept in the hospital for observation due to experiencing contractions every two minutes.
“I was in a lot of pain. I couldn’t move for two days straight,” Cardi revealed.
Additionally, Cardi addressed critics who had commented on her previous request for morphine. “So stop playing with me. I’m not the type to exaggerate anything. You don’t even know what I’m going through,” she asserted.
