Vanessa Hudgens, known for her role in High School Musical, and her husband, professional baseball player Cole Tucker, have joyfully welcomed their first child together.
Hudgens shared the news on Instagram, stating, “Mom, dad, and baby are happy and healthy.” Photos published by TMZ captured the couple leaving a Santa Monica hospital, with Hudgens in a wheelchair holding their newborn.
Expressing disappointment over the intrusion of privacy, Hudgens addressed the media’s use of long-lens cameras during this personal moment in her July 4 post. Representatives for Hudgens did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Entertainment Weekly.
This announcement follows Hudgens’ debut of her baby bump at the 96th Academy Awards in April. The same day, Tucker celebrated his 28th birthday, marked by Hudgens with a heartfelt Instagram tribute.
Looking ahead, Hudgens spoke to E! News in May about sharing her career with her children, saying, “I’ll show my kids all my work. That’s why I chose things along the way in my career. I wanted to make sure that when I did have kids, there would be something for them to watch at every age.”
Hudgens and Tucker, whose relationship began in late 2020, exchanged vows in a private ceremony in Tulum, Mexico on December 2, 2023. Reflecting on their wedding day, Hudgens described it as “magical” and beyond her expectations, as detailed in an interview with Vogue.
