Gauahar Khan, who is currently five months pregnant, recently graced the runway at the Bombay Times Fashion Week Spring Edition. This moment brought a sense of déjà vu for the actress, as she had also walked the ramp during her first pregnancy. “It’s very special. In fact, many don’t know that I walked the ramp when I was pregnant with my son Zehaan. I was two months pregnant then, so I hadn’t announced it yet. This time, I was a bit nervous because, obviously, your body changes. But I also felt more empowered,” Gauahar shared.
A Different Experience Each Time
When asked if her second pregnancy feels different from the first, Gauahar, who recently announced the news on Instagram, says, “It is very different. Every pregnancy is unique. I’m still just as nervous this time around. You always wonder if you’re doing everything right. It feels like I’m experiencing it for the first time. But I’m excited, elated, and overjoyed to feel those same emotions again. The same physical changes, the same calls to the doctor. If I need to stay calm, I call Zaid (her husband, Zaid Darbar). He’s my biggest support.”
When asked if motherhood has changed her, Gauahar reflects, “It has made me more patient. I also appreciate my own mother much more now. We often take mothers for granted, but they are truly something else. You only realize this when you become a mother yourself.”
Gauahar also recalls her work during her pregnancies: “During my first pregnancy, I was shooting an action show until the fourth month. This time, I was shooting action scenes until the third month. I plan to continue working as long as I can. When I was pregnant with Zehaan, I worked until the eighth month.”
