Patrick Mahomes revealed that his wife, Brittany Mahomes, is due to give birth to their third child very soon. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback shared the news on January 6, confirming that their new baby girl is expected to arrive on Sunday, January 11, or possibly sooner. If she doesn’t go into labor by then, she will be induced on Monday.
Sports reporter Tracy Wolfson broke the news on X (formerly Twitter), revealing that Patrick was eager to get back to Kansas City after the Chiefs’ game in Denver, knowing that the birth of their third child was imminent. She jokingly added, “There was definitely extra motivation for Patrick to get that bye week!”
The couple, high school sweethearts, are already parents to daughter Sterling, 3, and son Bronze, 2. They’re excited to add another member to their family, especially since Patrick has embraced the role of a “girl dad.” Last December, Brittany posted an Instagram photo of Sterling with a braid made by Patrick, praising his newfound braiding skills.
Despite his busy NFL schedule, Patrick makes family time a priority, though he admits it can be tough at times. “Just coming home and having to get that energy back up and put on that smile… it’s a full-time job,” he shared with E! News in July 2023. “But the most rewarding are those moments as well.”
Patrick credits his wife Brittany for supporting him through both the highs and lows of life. “She’s my rock,” he said. “Having someone that supports you every single day is the reason I am in the position that I am today.”
Brittany, who has always dreamed of being a mother, enjoys watching their children grow and thrive. “I love being a mom,” she said, reflecting on the joy she gets from seeing her kids learn and experience new things.
The Mahomes family is eagerly anticipating their newest addition and looking forward to more precious moments together.
