Kamloops — There are less than four weeks left to place your bets on what the most popular baby name in B.C. will be in 2025.
According to BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC) spokesperson Matt Lee, the top contenders are Olivia, with 3-to-1 odds, followed closely by Noah and Oliver, both at 4-to-1 odds.
“Olivia has been a consistent favorite for girls in the province, but she faces competition from Emma, Sophia, and Charlotte, who are also gaining popularity,” Lee explained. “It seems that classic names are becoming more popular in British Columbia.”
As for boys, Noah and Oliver have been neck-and-neck in recent years. However, Lee noted a rise in other names such as Liam, Theodore, Jack, and Lucas.
