Windsor Regional Hospital (WRH) celebrated the arrival of the first baby of 2025, born just over an hour after midnight.
Jupiter James Timothy Chase-Evans made his debut at 1:01 a.m. on January 1, 2025. The healthy baby boy weighed 9 pounds, 6 ounces and measured 22.5 inches long.
This is the third child for parents Marissa Chase and Brandan Evans. The couple arrived at the hospital around 6 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Marissa described her labor as much shorter than the previous two, saying, “It felt like it took forever, but dad says it went fast.”
The proud parents praised the staff at WRH’s Family Birthing Unit for their support during the process. “The nurses are amazing. They’re always amazing here,” Brandan said. “They’re very comforting. They make you laugh and joke during that hard time. They’re wonderful people here.”
Marissa and Brandan are excited to introduce their newborn son, Jupiter, to his older siblings—5-year-old brother and 2-year-old sister—once they return home. “Brother and sister can’t wait,” Brandan shared. “It’s going to be great to have everyone at home, all comfortable and happy.”
