In October, Madeline celebrated her baby shower, posting a series of photos on Instagram. The event featured blue and white balloons, along with “cloud” and “heaven”-themed decorations, paying tribute to Matthew and his late brother, NHL star Johnny Gaudreau, who both died in a bike crash in August.

“Baby Shower of my Dreams 🤍🕊️,” Madeline wrote in the caption. “Thank you @gabriellevasaturo for hosting. @bitesizedsis, you’re amazing. My husband would have loved all the balloons. The way you included him brought instant tears when I walked in.”

Madeline also expressed gratitude for the support of family and friends, acknowledging that although nothing could bring Matthew or Uncle John back, she was comforted by the love surrounding her son.

“All my friends and family, nothing [will] bring his dad back, [or] Uncle John back, but I am glad he has so many amazing people around him to remind him how amazing they were,” she wrote.

The photos from the shower featured balloons spelling out “Tripp,” a “little piece of heaven” sign, and a welcoming message for the shower signed by “Matty and Madeline.” Katie Gaudreau, the Gaudreau brothers’ younger sister, also shared pictures from the event. One photo showed Madeline proudly displaying her baby bump with the decorations, surrounded by extended family.

“Felt the love from your Daddy and Uncle John today. We love you, Tripp Matthew,” Katie wrote in the caption.

In another Instagram Stories post, Katie added, “Today we celebrate Tripp, Matthew, and my sister. I cannot wait to celebrate the three of you. I know Matthew is so proud of you.”
