A Thai idol, part of the girl group Girly Berry, has sparked a mix of admiration and concern after performing on stage while 36 weeks pregnant.
Belle, 40, made headlines when a video of her dancing at a concert in October went viral on Instagram. The post has since garnered over 60,000 likes and nearly 400 comments. While many were impressed by her energy, others questioned the potential risks to her unborn child.
Belle announced her pregnancy in May and, by the time of the October concert, was nine months along. Despite being close to her due date, the idol continued to fulfill her duties, dancing in a two-piece outfit that proudly showcased her pregnant belly.
The concert took place at IMPACT Arena in Pak Kret, Thailand. After the performance, Belle shared a heartfelt message on Instagram: “Another memory to show my child that you’ve been to the concert at Impact with Mommy twice! From the concert in February to this one at the end of October,” she wrote. “You didn’t fuss at all, no matter how loud the music was—you slept peacefully without moving or kicking.”
Since then, Belle has given birth and posted updates about her baby’s health on social media, appearing to be in good condition.
While many fans applauded Belle’s determination and strength, others were critical. Some felt she should have prioritized the safety of her baby over her performance. They argued that her decision might set an unsafe example for other pregnant women.
Belle’s husband also expressed pride in her performance, sharing a post that praised her ability to rock the concert despite being so far along in her pregnancy.
The viral photos and videos of Belle performing at 36 weeks have sparked ongoing debates online about the limits of physical activity during pregnancy.
