Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have reportedly split just weeks after announcing they are expecting their first child together.
The couple, who have been together since 2020, ended their nearly five-year relationship over Thanksgiving weekend while staying in Vail, Colorado, according to TMZ. Fox, 38, is about six months pregnant and is due to give birth in March.
Sources indicate that the breakup occurred less than two weeks after Fox revealed her pregnancy. She reportedly found upsetting material on MGK’s phone, which led her to ask him to leave their trip early. The musician, whose real name is Colson Baker, left the vacation, and the two have not seen each other since.
Representatives for both Fox and MGK have been contacted for comment.
Fox, who has three children—Noah, 11, Bodhi, 9, and Journey, 7—from her previous marriage to actor Brian Austin Green—shared her pregnancy news on November 11. In a social media post, she shared a provocative photo of herself covered in black paint, revealing her baby bump. The post was accompanied by a positive pregnancy test. She wrote, “Nothing is ever really lost. welcome back.”
The announcement was paired with MGK’s song Last November, which reflects the couple’s emotional journey, particularly following a previous miscarriage Fox suffered.
In her first public comments about the pregnancy, MGK hinted at how it was influencing his work. After Fox’s stunning appearance in a sheer dress, he commented: “Isolating myself in the desert next week to restart this album from scratch. When inspiration flows through me unblocked, we will reach the destination in no time. Don’t worry. After all, I’m about to be a dad again!”
Fox has opened up about her emotional struggles following past pregnancy losses. In her 2023 poetry book Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, she shared heart-wrenching excerpts about a miscarriage she experienced with MGK. “Maybe if you hadn’t… maybe if I had…” she wrote. The painful experience deeply impacted their relationship, and Fox has spoken about the emotional toll it took.
She also experienced an ectopic pregnancy years earlier, further complicating her journey to motherhood.
During an interview with Good Morning America, Fox reflected on the emotional strain of the miscarriage. “It was very difficult for both of us,” she explained. “It sent us on a very wild journey together and separately, trying to figure out what it meant and why it happened.”
MGK, who has a 15-year-old daughter named Casie with ex-girlfriend Emma Cannon, and Fox, have faced a rollercoaster relationship. The couple got engaged in 2022, but they have not yet tied the knot. Fox and MGK have been open about their intense connection, referring to each other as “twin souls.”
Despite their ups and downs, including a brief period of tension in early 2023 when Fox posted cryptic messages on Instagram suggesting a breakup, the couple reconciled. In one post, Fox shared a video of herself burning a letter, accompanied by lyrics from Beyoncé’s song Pray You Catch Me, which alluded to infidelity. She also posted sultry selfies with a male friend, later deleting her Instagram account.
The two appeared to patch things up, and Fox later revealed in a podcast interview that their engagement had been briefly called off. When asked about the status of her relationship with MGK, she responded: “I think that what I’ve learned from being in this relationship is that it’s not for public consumption. I can’t say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to him somehow.”
Fox and MGK’s baby is due in March, and while the couple knows the gender, they have not yet revealed it. Their relationship has been described as passionate and tumultuous, marked by both intense love and personal challenges.
Fox’s ex-husband, Brian Austin Green, has been in a relationship with Dancing with the Stars professional Sharna Burgess since 2020, and the couple shares a two-year-old son, Zane.
