Seoul, November 25, 2024 – South Korean actor Jung Woo Sung has confirmed that he is the father of a baby born to 35-year-old model Moon Gabi. The announcement follows a report by South Korea’s Dispatch Korea, which revealed earlier this year that Moon had given birth to a child with an unnamed individual. Both Jung Woo Sung and Moon Gabi quickly acknowledged the news after it broke.
Reports indicate that Jung Woo Sung and Moon Gabi first met in 2022 and have stayed in touch ever since, gradually becoming closer. While there has been no official confirmation of their romantic relationship, it is reported that Moon found out she was pregnant in June 2023. Upon hearing the news, Jung Woo Sung was reportedly thrilled and expressed his commitment to supporting Moon through the pregnancy and beyond.
Jung Woo Sung’s agency, Artist Company, issued a statement confirming his role as the biological father. “It is true that actor Jung Woo Sung is the biological father of the child that Moon Gabi announced on social media. He is currently discussing the best ways to support childcare and will take full responsibility for the child,” the statement read, as reported by Soompi.
In the wake of this confirmation, Moon Gabi’s social media post about the baby’s arrival has attracted significant attention. Over the weekend, she shared a heartfelt message along with a photo of her newborn. Reflecting on the unexpected news, Moon wrote, “I was not prepared at all for this news that suddenly came to me. Instead of fully celebrating the joy of pregnancy and receiving congratulations, I spent most of my pregnancy quietly, surrounded by the blessings of my family.”
